Welcome from the Vice President for Publications

Welcome to the World of Computational Intelligence Publications, the Life-Blood of the IEEE CIS. I'm not biased, am I? Just as our Society's membership is diverse and vibrant, the CIS publications mirror those qualities. In fact, I believe they help shape those attributes.

There is something for everyone in the CIS family; a veritable smorgasbord for reading and writing. Start with the professionally produced Computational Intelligence Magazine that publishes research and general interest articles covering the entire scope of CIS. Then move on to the three premier Transactions, the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, the IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems and the IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation. All three have high impact factors and rank at the top of IEEE publications in their class. You do CI? You need to publish here. In order to keep up with the always evolving nature of our field, we created the IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computational Intelligence, a publication with its finger on the pulse of this dynamic field. At the cutting edge of CI. This pub is for you.

Because CI intersects many areas of the IEEE, we actively co-sponsor publications. Our two major assets in the co-sponsored lists are the IEEE Transactions on Cognitive and Developmental Systems and the IEEE Transactions on Games. Of course, we co-sponsor other IEEE publications when our interests dictate. You can find out more on all of these publications by following the links on the side of this page. Are you into book writing. Join the IEEE Press/Wiley book series on computational intelligence.

You can find out more information about each of these publications by following those links provided to the left. CIS has a great crew of Editors-in-Chief who guide the editorial process to produce our excellent area of periodicals. However, we need you! High quality publications only work when there is a sufficient supply of high quality authors, referees, and Associate Editors. Please consider sending your best research work to the CIS Magazine and Transactions. But additionally, please consider volunteering as a referee, and after some good experience, as an Associate Editor. All of the EiCs are anxious to communicate with you about opportunities to grow professionally.

You can subscribe to all three of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society's main Transactions by taking advantage of the Society's Computational Intelligence Package. The package provides a significant discount to members of the Society.

All Transactions submissions and review go through Manuscript Central. Complete information on the submissions through that system, as well as the link itself can be found on the "Information for Authors" link from each of those Journal pages.
