Welcome from the Vice President for Conferences
Conferences are an important part of any IEEE society as among other things they facility sharing of research and ideas with peers and help establish career-building personal connections that can last a lifetime. Research that is presented at our conferences can be extended for submission to IEEE CIS's top-tier journals. We hope that you will join us by attending our conferences in 2019!
However, every IEEE CIS conference is organized by volunteers and staff who work hard in advance to arrange these forums, and we are always thankful for this support. The IEEE Conference Committee (Confcom) is eager to receive proposals for conferences in 2020 and 2021. If you have interest in supplying a proposal, please contact me and let me know. I can help address any questions or concerns. The policies, procedures and budget worksheet for such proposals are available here.
The deadline for IEEE SSCI 2021 proposals is March 15, 2019, while the deadline IEEE WCCI 2022 proposals is April 15, 2019. Proposals for all other financially sponsored or technical co-sponsored conferences in 2020 and 2021 should be submitted according to the schedule indicated in the IEEE CIS Newsletter, so that they can be reviewed in a timely manner.
