WCCI 2020 Conference Travel Grant Announcement

wcci2020

Dear colleague,

The IEEE Computational Intelligence Society is happy to announce that we are going to change our normal Conference Travel Grant program and offer a Conference Registration Grant in lieu of travel support. This change will allow us to expand our program and provide complimentary registration to IEEE WCCI 2020 to the following groups:

  • IEEE CIS Student Members and IEEE CIS Graduate Student Members who have accepted papers for IJCNN, CEC, and FUZZ-IEEE
  • IEEE CIS Young Professional members (Young Professionals are defined as post-Student members who are within 15 years of receiving their first professional degree) who have accepted papers for IJCNN, CEC, and FUZZ-IEEE
The IEEE Computational Intelligence Society is offering conference grants for young professionals and graduate students, and complimentary student registrations. Applicants must be IEEE CIS members by April 30th, 2020.

1) Conference grants for young professionals and graduate students

A number of free full registrations to IEEE WCCI 2020 are available for young professionals and graduate students who are first authors of papers. Priority will be given to authors of papers with high evaluations from referees. The awardees will receive a discount code valid for $325 (value of an IEEE Member registration) to be used for covering a full registration, guaranteeing paper publication.

Please apply through the following link: https://forms.gle/iqYgcbLL91zVDVtw7

The requirements for applicants are:
  • Membership of IEEE (join IEEE here) and Computational Intelligence Society (join IEEE CIS here). Note that IEEE CIS is listed as an optional society membership under IEEE.
  • Be the first author of an accepted paper in the conference, actually attend the conference and present the paper.
The deadline for this application is Thursday, April 30, 2020. You will be notified by Monday, May 4, 2020 if you have been preselected. In a second step, preselected applicants should submit a certificate or proof of status.

Note: Graduate student applicants who are not selected will be automatically considered for the complimentary student registration program. Please do not apply to both conference grant programs.

2) Complimentary student registration program

IEEE CIS would like to support a large number of students with complimentary registrations. They will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis. The awardees will receive a discount code valid for $95 (value of an IEEE Student Member registration for IEEE WCCI 2020) and it can be used either for covering a student registration or for discounting this amount from a full registration, if the student decides to pay for a full registration in order to cover his/her paper publication.
