Welcome from the Vice President for Conferences

Conferences are among the most important activities of any society because of the opportunities for personal contact that they provide. Additionally, an appreciable amount of intellectual property is generated through them, some of which may finally find its way into our periodicals.

Proposals for conference being held in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 must be submitted according to the schedule indicated in the IEEE CIS Newsletter, so that they can be reviewed by the IEEE CIS Conference Committee and approved by the IEEE CIS Adcom as soon as possible.

Please contact the VP for Conferences to indicate your intention to propose a bid or if you have any questions or concerns.

Policies, procedures and budget worksheet for such proposals are available here. More detailed guidelines can be obtained upon request to the VP for Conferences.

How to apply for sponsorship

If you would like to apply for the sponsorship of a technical event that you are planning, please refer to the descriptions of our sponsorships here. Our society annually supports an appreciable number of conferences in many different parts of the world, the level of involvement being one of those described in the section on CIS Involvement in Conferences.

More detailed information on our policies and procedures concerning conference support can be found here. Incomplete applications will be returned without processing.

Please note that using the IEEE CIS logo or announcing an IEEE CIS sponsorship of a technical event before applying for sponsorship and obtaining approval from the IEEE CIS Conference Committee is strictly forbidden.

If you have any questions related to our conferences or would like to know more how to be involved in our activities, please feel free to contact the VP for Conferences.
