Welcome from the Vice President for Education
The IEEE Computational Intelligence Society highly values and promotes education: this is investing in our future! In this area, CIS has several education activities and aims for enriching education resources. The newly created IEEE CIS Resource Center is now available
To promote knowledge dissemination in computational intelligence, multimedia tutorials are being developed and provided, as well as courses and ssummer schools are being supported. To help graduate student research and exchange especially at the international level summer research grants are provided.
New initiatives cover the needs from the high school to continuous education in order to serve the computational intelligence community, the high school generation, and all people interested in computational intelligence and its applications. Among these planned activities there are: student games-based competitions, high school educational programs, continuing education programs (especially for people in industry), webinars and creation of the educational archive. An education portal is also established particularly for sharing experiences on teaching (especially for high schools) and resources available.
We invite all members, high school teachers, and scholars interested in advancing/become familiar with the computational intelligence field to take time and see what each subcommittee provides. We are proud of what we did and are confident that the produced material will be precious for you, your needs as educator, and your research activity. We sincerely welcome you to take part on enhancing CIS educational programs and enriching the education archive.
IEEE CIS volunteers have worked to develop the IEEE CIS Resource Center, which aims to provide well-organized archive of educational videos and other materials for friendly access and searching.
