Awards Committee

The Awards Committee is responsible for the management of the CIS awards program. In particular, but not limited to the following, the Awards Committee shall: 

  • Solicit nominations, review candidates, and recommend recipients,
  • Prepare, develop, and recommend plans for CIS awards,
  • Make recommendations on matters concerning awards, including proposals for new awards and award regulations.

 The Awards Committee is supported by the following fourteen Awards Subcommittees, which handle specific awards:

- Subcommittee for the Neural Networks Pioneer Award

- Subcommittee for the Fuzzy Systems Pioneer Award

- Subcommittee for the Evolutionary Computation Pioneer Award

- Subcommittee for the Meritorious Service Award

- Subcommittee for the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems Outstanding Paper Award

- Subcommittee for the IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems Outstanding Paper Award

- Subcommittee for the IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation Outstanding Paper Award

- Subcommittee for the IEEE Transactions on Cognitive and Developmental Systems Outstanding Paper Award

- Subcommittee for the IEEE Transactions on Computational Intelligence and AI in Games Outstanding Paper Award

- Subcommittee for the IEEE Computational Intelligence Magazine Outstanding Paper Award

- Subcommittee for Outstanding Chapter Award
